Quick Slip Entry

No need to search for where to enter your forms, Quick Slip Entry consolidates the data entry of all slips. Enter 90% of your paperwork as soon as you start your return. Simply enter the name of the slip you received in the search box, add it to your return and enter the data shown.

To make things easier our screens mimic the actual slips to improve accuracy. Hover over the box number to see what the field is for, or place your cursor in the field to activate the tooltip.

Autofill My Return+

Save time by downloading part of your data directly into your current year’s return from the CRA. Sign up for My Account with CRA and RQ ahead of time to be able to access your information.

Helpful Hints+

We’ve been in the tax business for over 50 years, and we’ve learned a few things along the way. Before filing your return, review a list of personalized suggestions to better your refund or balance owing.

Tax tips are generated based on the information you enter in the software. It analyzes the data entered and looks for opportunities to claim additional credits and deductions.

Visual Tax Summary+

A lot goes into calculating your return. Our software provides a visual representation of your refund. We’ll explain all the main sections (total income, deductions, taxable income, etc), how the data you entered impacted your subtotals and what you can do to improve your situation in the future.

We’ll also educate you on what you can do to improve your refund or decrease your balance owing. Once purchased you will see this page in the Wrap-up section of our software before you file.

Audit Protection^

Each year the CRA conducts a number of review activities to promote awareness of, and compliance with the laws it administers. These reviews are an important part of the compliance activities the CRA undertakes to maintain the integrity of the Canadian tax system. More information about this process is available here. Even if your return is accurate the CRA could ask you to validate information for them.

If you are audited or re-assessed by the CRA or RQ, a Tax Expert will review your return, help you prepare any required adjustments, and help with correspondence to be provided.

Audit Protection is a great ally for the following situations:

  • You received notification that your return is under pre-assessment review, under processing review or being reviewed under the matching or special assessment program;
  • Amounts on your notice of assessment do not correspond with what you filed;
  • Your return has been reassessed; or
  • Your return is being audited.

You can purchase this service from within the software. Purchase it prior to filing to ensure the best possible price.

Return Storage+

Hard drive failures happen. Documents get misplaced. We’ve got your back and a back-up of your return should you need it.

The CRA requires you to keep your return and associated documents for a minimum of six years. We safely and securely store an electronic copy of the data in your return for seven years from the date of filing. At your request, your return will be retrieved in PDF format.
