The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Product Manager to join our fast-paced Product and Services team, supporting our Retail, Virtual, and Digital channels. Reporting to the Director of Client Products and Services, the Specialty Tax Product Manager will work cross-functionally to deliver high-impact solutions for Small Business, U.S., and Corporate client needs.

In this role, you'll drive the development and implementation of product strategies and collaborate with internal teams to deliver best-in-class tax experiences across all channels—from ideation through execution. You'll ensure product initiatives align with the company’s overall strategy and contribute to growth, innovation, and client satisfaction.

Key areas of Responsibility:

  • Own and grow the Specialty Tax product portfolio (Small Business, U.S., and Corporate), leading the full product lifecycle from opportunity identification through strategy, roadmap development, delivery, launch, and continuous improvement.
  • Define and prioritize the product roadmap based on strategic objectives, client insights, and business impact.
  • Identify and launch new products and services that expand H&R Block’s presence in emerging tax segments and drive client acquisition and revenue growth.
  • Own product performance and growth metrics, including adoption, revenue contribution, client satisfaction, and operational effectiveness.
  • Use data and market insights to inform strategy, including analyzing KPIs, conducting competitive research, and running experiments to improve the client experience.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with UX, Technology, Operations, Learning, Marketing, and Content teams to deliver high-quality products aligned with product management best practices.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to enhance product offerings and improve service delivery.
  • Develop product documentation and launch readiness plans, including requirements, specifications, and go-to-market coordination with Legal, Marketing, and business leadership.

Key Qualifications:

  • 5+ [LH1] years of product management experience, ideally owning a product or portfolio end-to-end including related financials.
  • Proven ability to identify market opportunities and launch new products or services.
  • Experience leading products through the full lifecycle—from discovery and strategy through launch and iteration.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, using performance metrics and insights to inform product strategy and roadmap priorities.
  • Experience conducting customer research, market analysis, and competitive benchmarking to guide product decisions.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and influence stakeholders across technology, operations, marketing, and business teams.
  • Self-starter comfortable navigating ambiguity, able to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with 3rd party vendors in joint product development
  • Experience with Small Business products, services, or client segments is strongly preferred; familiarity with U.S. cross-border or corporate tax workflows is considered an asset.
