The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Product Manager to join our fast-paced and dynamic Digital Product Solutions team. Under the leadership of the Director, Product Solutions, you will translate business strategy, stakeholder needs and user requirements into technology product roadmaps, including detailed business requirements, to deliver exceptional customer value and meet our business goals. You will identify gaps, break down complex problems, and help manage the development process. In this position you will deliver exception value to our diverse digital products portfolio by collaborating with people in a variety of roles, including tax analysts, developers, quality assurance analysts, enterprise architects, and product managers.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Align engineering teams and work in collaboration with product and business managers to achieve product goals
  • Create a product vision, strategy and roadmap
  • Analyze data pipelines, algorithms, workflows and automated processes
  • Conduct technical risk assessments
  • Define and manage user stories and business requirements
  • Communicate implementation requirements, testing criteria and post-launch sequences
  • Maintain product backlog and documentation
  • Prioritize features based on business/user need, and sequence development to ensure digital tax products and services are delivered on time & budget
  • Participate in daily scrums, sprint planning, sprint reviews and retrospectives meetings
  • Manage product financials and development budgets
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of emerging technology and applications

Key Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of technical product management experience, including experience leading medium-to-large sized initiatives that involve significant business and/or technology change
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, quantitative disciplines, or equivalent IT/software development experience
  • Understanding and application of agile user-centred design values, principles and practices
  • Innovative and creative with the ability to identify and develop technical rationalization & optimization opportunities
  • Experience in defining, building or launching various APIs, including API-based products and services
  • Demonstrated record of establishing priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to make quick, timely decisions
  • Ability to be an effective informal leader in a fast‑paced environment
  • Excellent communication & organizational skills
  • Understanding of tax applications a benefit
