Reporting to the Regional Director you will oversee 6 thriving offices in the Sydney region and 55 Franchise offices in the Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, PEI, and Newfoundland regions!
The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Regional Director, you’ll take charge of the Sydney district, leading and inspiring our team of Associates and spearheading the District’s operational execution. You will also oversee H&R Block Canada Franchise operations in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, PEI, and Newfoundland.
With a keen eye for market trends, you’ll develop district-specific plans to attract new clients, continue to grow revenue, and elevate client satisfaction to new heights.
You will provide direction and accountability to assigned franchises related to day-to-day management of operations, increasing client base, company profits, and net earnings in compliance with H&R Block policies.
In addition, you’ll help shape the future of our organization by nurturing and leading a team of exceptional Associates, ensuring their continuous development and success.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide leadership and direction to franchise owners and company-owned offices, ensuring goals and targets are met within the assigned territory.
- Participate in strategic planning and contribute to business goals and objectives.
- Assist and guide franchise owners in managing issues, problem-solving, and meeting CRA requirements.
- Prepare annual budgets and variance reports, adjusting plans to meet district performance goals.
- Visit company-owned and franchise offices frequently to ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures.
- Craft and implement district-specific plans to drive client growth, enhance revenue, and improve client experience.
- Source, recruit, train, and mentor a team of seasonal and off-season Associates.
- Organize and lead local business development events to attract new clients and promote the brand.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
- 5 years’ experience in a client-based, retail, or equivalent environment, demonstrating effective people leadership and a drive for success.
- Exceptional interpersonal and English verbal and written skills that allow you to effortlessly connect with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering exceptional results within tight deadlines.
- Astute problem solver with an analytical mindset and a natural inclination towards generating innovative solutions.
- Flexibility to accommodate irregular schedules and the ability to travel up to 50% during Tax Season.
- Possession of a valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle, and current, valid vehicle insurance.
