Payment

When do I have to pay?

You can enter your tax data and review a summary of your tax return without making any payment. You will only pay when you are completely satisfied. Then, you can download the full tax return for printing or NETFILE it.

Once you have paid for this year's tax return, you can come back as often as you like, change your tax data if need be, and download the return without paying again.

What are the rates?

Base fee for the first family member (family head) $15.95 CDN
Additional fee for the spouse (if applicable) $10.00 CDN
Additional fee for each other dependent family members No charge

GST and applicable provincial sales taxes are not included.
These rates are in Canadian funds

How do I pay?

You will be asked to pay before you can download your full tax return for the first time.

Payment is handled through a secure server, and requires a valid Visa, Mastercard or American Express credit card. When you make the payment you will be able to print a receipt if you require it. Note that we do not retain your credit card information after the transaction is complete.

How do I use my pre-payment or discount voucher?

When you make your payment, a field will be available specifically to enter your voucher number, and the amount due will be adjusted automatically.

What do I do once I have paid?

The final step is for you to file your tax return with the federal government (and with the Quebec government if you are a Quebec resident).

Most taxpayers are eligible to use the NetFile system to file electronically which is the fast, easy method.

If you prefer you can download and print your tax return, and mail it to the government, together with the required slips and receipts.

We recommend that you always print a copy of your return to review for accuracy, and to retain in your files for future reference.
